Kennesaw, Ga. (April 22, 2025) 鈥 新澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE), located in the 新澳门六合彩资料 Center on Busbee Drive, has unveiled its first permanent installation in ten years. The exhibition, Save One Life: Resistance in the Holocaust, is now open to the public.

This new exhibit commemorates the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp. Its materials highlight the individual acts of resistance performed by ordinary citizens at the height of the Nazi occupation in multiple countries, including Germany, Hungary, Denmark, France, Italy, and Poland.

鈥淲orking on this exhibition, it was amazing to learn how many different forms of resistance took place during the Holocaust 鈥 everything from smuggling dynamite to sharing recipes,鈥 said Adina Langer, MHHE senior curator and lead curator on the exhibition. 鈥淲ays of resisting varied as much as the people who resisted.鈥

In addition to the new permanent exhibit, the museum has named their new permanent director, Dr. Andrea Miskewicz, who has served in the interim role for nearly two years. Miskewicz has been on staff at MHHE for eight years. Before her interim director role, she served as a museum educator followed by the education coordinator. Andrea鈥檚 leadership has expanded the museum鈥檚 programming and reach both within the campus community and externally to the metro Atlanta area and beyond.

The museum, which is part of the university鈥檚 Department of Museums, Archives, and Rare Books, is highly regarded by external educational communities. Its previous exhibitions and educational programs have received awards from the Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) and the Georgia Association of Museums (GAM).
