To show appreciation, the university annually honors the top faculty members who are leaders and innovators of the university. Three faculty members from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences were among this year鈥檚 winners.
Katya Vladmirov, Ph.D., Professor of History in the Department of History and Philosophy, was this year鈥檚 recipient of the Madhuri And Jagdish N. Sheth Faculty Award for Distinguished International Achievement. The award is in recognition and honor of her demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, creative activity and professional service, which embodies culturally diverse and pluralistic global perspectives. Dr. Vladimirov uses effective and innovative teaching practices focused on preparing students to be responsible global leaders.
Jennifer Dickey, Ph.D., Coordinator of Public History and Associate Professor of History in the Department of History and Philosophy, was this year鈥檚 recipient of the Outstanding Professional Service and Community Engagement Award. The award recognizes Dr. Dickey鈥檚 significant contribution to the academic community through her professional service and community engagement activities. The award acknowledges that Dr. Dickey鈥檚 professional service and community engagement activities have had a significant positive impact on both the University and the community.
Kenneth Williamson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Anthropology in the Department of Geography and Anthropology and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, received this year鈥檚 Diversity and Inclusion Award. This faculty award honors Dr. Williamson鈥檚 sustained record of serving as an advocate for diversity and inclusion and his significant contributions to strengthening the overall climate of inclusion at 新澳门六合彩资料.
